The right scraper makes prep so much easier.

Whether you're removing old paint, varnish, glue or stubborn finish buildup, Staalmeester® Scrapers are professional-quality tools designed to help you get into everything from broad, flat surfaces to tiny corners, curves and decorative details.

Made with extra-hardened steel blades and durable FSC-certified beechwood handles, these scrapers are built for precision, control and long-lasting use. Choose the shape that best suits your project — or keep a few on hand so you're ready for any surface.

Choose Your Scraper

Profile Scraper – SC2
Perfect for mouldings, grooves, carvings and decorative profiles. Its contoured edge reaches into detailed areas where a traditional flat scraper simply can't.

Best for: Ornate furniture, carved details, mouldings, grooves and decorative trim.

Oval Scraper – SC1
Designed for curves, rounded surfaces, small edges and tricky contours. The oval blade and pointed end give you excellent control when stripping detailed furniture.

Best for: Curved furniture, pedestal bases, rounded trim, edges and small hard-to-reach areas.

Triangle Scraper – SC3
The scraper you'll reach for when you need precision in corners and tight spaces. The pointed triangle shape lets you target paint, varnish and residue without scraping a large surrounding area.

Best for: Corners, bevelled edges, joinery, narrow spaces and detail work.

Wide Scraper
Made for covering more surface area quickly. The wide steel blade makes removing paint, wallpaper, adhesive and uneven finish buildup from larger surfaces much easier.

Available in:

  • 5 cm Wide – SC5

  • 7 cm Wide – SC4

Best for: Flat furniture surfaces, cabinetry, walls, wallpaper, adhesive and larger areas of paint or finish buildup.

DIRECTIONS

Choose the scraper shape that best matches the area you're working on. Hold the scraper securely and work across the surface using controlled strokes, allowing the blade to do the work.

For stubborn coatings, finishes may need to be softened or loosened before scraping, depending on the surface and product being removed.

Always test in an inconspicuous area first, particularly on delicate wood or detailed furniture.

After use, replace the protective blade cover and store safely.
