Our 100% natural Beeswax Distressing Block™ makes it simple to create a beautifully worn, time-loved finish exactly where you want it.
Rub the block along edges, corners, raised details, or anywhere you want paint to naturally wear away, then apply your next coat of paint over top. The wax creates a resist between the layers, so when you lightly sand your finished piece, the top layer releases easily while the colour underneath stays in place.

Apply your first coat of paint and allow it to dry. Rub the Beeswax Distressing Block™ over the areas you want to reveal later, then apply your next coat of paint.
Once dry, lightly sand those areas. The paint sitting over the wax will release easily, revealing the layer beneath and creating a naturally worn look.

What does it do?
Our Beeswax Distressing Block™ makes it extremely easy to distress a piece painted with Fusion. Apply it as a way to resist paint and make it easy to sand, even after a few days of drying time. Using the Beeswax Distressing Block™ makes it easy to control exactly where you distress your piece so you can predict the results.
Can I paint over it?
It is meant to be painted over, but only so that it is easy to remove the paint later on! If you want a solid painted finish, you will have to remove the Beeswax with mineral spirits.
What is the difference between wet and dry sanding?
Wet sanding is just dry sanding with a little bit of water added! By adding water, you reduce the friction between the sanding paper and the surface you’re sanding, allowing you to get a super smooth finish. In addition, adding a bit of water helps to re-activate the paint and make it even easier to sand. This makes any distressing you do look very naturally worn.
What is the difference between this and your other wax products?
This wax product is a solid block of beeswax. Our other waxes are softer and meant as top coats.
